I don't make a lot of baby cards, but you always need to have a couple on hand, just in case.

I used a die cut from Hero Arts for the Silhouette. I cut it out of double sided sticky tape, and covered it with crushed velvet. I never tried this stuff before, but I like it, it is really soft! Here is a close up:

Then I glued it to the front of the card, added some twine and the pram, that I colored with promarkers.

Today I have another card with colored vellum. I think this was the first card I made with this technique, and where I learned what could go wrong:

Hoy traigo otra tarjeta con papel vegetal coloreado. Creo que esta fue la primera tarjeta que hice con esta tecnica, y con la que aprendi lo que podia salir mal:
The main problem making this card, was that I embossed on the colored side of the vellum. That way, the white embossing powder picks up the background color, so it is red in some places. The good thing is that, obviously, the color is much more vibrant.

El problema principal que encontre haciendo esta tarjeta, es que hice el embossing en el lado coloreado del papel vegetal. Al hacer esto, el polvo de embossing blanco cogio algo del color rojo de debajo. Lo bueno de hacer el embossing en este lado, es que el color es mucho mas vivo.

I wanted to use the Leafy Vines stamp from Hero Arts in a different way, so I used just part of it to frame my sentiment. I love how delicate it looks, and so elegant!
To add some texture to the card base, I scored some lines towards the center, to accentuate the sentiment.

Queria utilizar el sello "Leafy Vines" de Hero Arts de una manera diferente, asi que solo utilice parte de la imagen para enmarcar la frase. Me encanta lo delicado del dibujo y es tan elegante!
Para añadir algo de textura a la tarjeta, marque unas rayas hacia el centro,(utilizando una tabla de scoring y la plegadora) para acentuar mas la frase.
