I'm back today with more homework for the class, although I think this time I didn't follow the tutorial completely. Dawn, from WPlus9 is a genius watercoloring, and I tried what she did in class, but I think I ended up blending it too much. Here is the card:

Hoy estoy de vuelta con más deberes para la clase, aunque esta vez no he seguido las indicaciones al pie de la letra. Dawn, la creadora de WPlus9 es un genia con las acuarelas, y probé lo que nos enseñó en clase, pero creo que lo difuminé demasiado. Aqui va la tarjeta:
I started by stamping the flower once, then I masked it and stamped it a couple more times.
This time I used a watercolor set to do the coloring, and I think that's why it didn't turn out like Dawn's card in class. My coloring looked very "powdery" and covered the black lines a lot, so after it dried, I went over most of the lines with a black marker.
Empece estampando la flor una vez, enmascarandola, y estampandola otro par de veces.
Esta vez he utilizado un set de acuarelas para colorearla, y creo que por eso puede ser que no me haya quedado como la tarjeta de Dawn en clase. El coloreo tenia un aspecto "arenoso" y cubrió las lineas negras un montón. Así que una vez se seco, pasé con un rotu negro por encima de las lineas.
I like how it turned out, but I think I need a few watercolor tubes, so I can try the technique from class too ;-)

There's a new challenge at 3flowers-retos de tarjetas, and this time it was Yolanda's turn to choose, and she went for "Paper Piecing". And here is my card:
Hay nuevo reto en 3flowers-retos de tarjetas, y esta vez era el turno de Yolanda de elegir, y se decidió por el "Paper piecing". Y aqui va mi tarjeta:
Loooots of paper piecing on this one ;-) I started with the background paper, that lovely wooden print with the scattered white hearts.
I stamped those gorgeous flowers from Hero Arts over it, and over the pink paper (that is from the Hello Sunshine collection from Lawn Fawn), and on a piece of green polka dot paper too.
And then I started the fussy cutting, loooots and lots of it. I didn't think cutting and adding all the stems was gonna be SO hard, but it definately took a very, very long time. But the end result is so amazing in real life!
Then I finished it stamping that beautiful sentiment from Winnie and Walter.
Un monton de paper piecing en esta ;-) Empecé utilizando ese precioso papel para el fondo, de madera con corazoncitos blancos.
Estampé encima las flores de Hero Arts, y tambien sobre un papel rosita de la coleccion Hello Sunshine de Lawn Fawn, y sobre un papel verde de lunares.
Y a recortar como una loca! No pensé que me iba a costar tanto añadir los tallos, pero una vez que me puse ya no podia dejarlo a medias, asi que me llevo bastante rato. Pero el resultado final es tan bonito, que merece la pena!
Y para terminar la tarjeta estampé la frase de Winnie and Walter.

Yesterday's class was SO good! I know... I've said that everyday, but I just love techniques, so probably this has been my favorite class from Online Card Classes. I couldn't wait to try the "DIY inkpad" they showed us yesterday, and I couldn't stop using it. I actually made 5 backgrounds that are gonna be used in some very pretty cards. So let's show you the first one:
La clase de ayer fue TAN buena! Lo sé... os he dicho lo mismo todos los dias, pero es que me encantan las tecnicas, asi que seguramente esta haya sido mi clase favorita de Online Card Classes. Me moría de ganas de probar el "DIY inkpad" que nos enseñaron ayer, y una vez empecé no podía dejar de usarlo. Al final hice 5 paneles para tarjetas que ya ireis viendo en varias tarjetas. Pero aqui os enseño el primero:

The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter, and it's a gorgeous set with beautiful fonts. And to embellish the card I used little blobs of Glossy Accents.
¿No os parece increible ese fondo? A mi me chifla! Ahora quiero tener uno en cada gama de colores ;-)
La frase es de Winnie and Walter, de un set super chulo con una letra preciosa. Y para adornarla un poco he utilizado unas gotas de Glossy Accents.

Today I'm sharing with you a card that was going to be published in the March Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking magazine. Unfortunately, the magazine closed down, and the March number is never being published, so I received my card back, and now I'm sharing it here:
Hoy os traigo una tarjeta que iba a ser publicada en el numero de Marzo de la revista Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking. Desafortunadamente, la revista ha cerrado, y el numero de Marzo no será publicado, por lo que me enviaron la tarjeta de vuelta y ahora la comparto aquí con vosotros:
The card was for the Folk Art section, and it's very simple. I stamped the images kind of mirroring each other and I liked how the blue-orange-black combination looked. The "hello" is from Winnie & Walter, and I loooove that font!
I'm sad that there's not gonna be more submition calls, or FB parties to attend, cause they were a lot of fun! And I'm gonna miss connecting with a lot of people that I got to meet thanks to this magazine, but I wish them the best in this new chapter they are living!

La tarjeta era para la seccion de Arte Folk, y es super sencilla. Simplemente estampé las imagenes en espejo, y me gustó la combinación de colores azul-naranja-negro. El "hello" es de Winnie & Walter, y estoy enamorada de esa letra!
Me da muchisima pena que ya no vaya a haber más llamadas a publicación, o las fiestas que se montaban en el FB cuando enviaban los emails a las elegidas, porque era todo diversión! Voy a echar de menos toda esa gente que he conocido gracias a esta revista, pero les deseo lo mejor en esta nueva etapa que estan viviendo!

This time for the challenge you have to use patterned paper. I decided to use that super cute cutting file from Hero Arts for the Silhouette, that I thought was perfect for a baby card. And because this month we are collaborating with Winnie & Walter, I got to use that gorgeous sentiment set: The Big, the Bold and the Happy. Love it!!!!
Para este reto tenéis que utilizar papeles decorados. Decidí utilizar el archivo de corte de la nube de Hero Arts para la Silhouette, que me pareció perfecto para una tarjeta de bebe. Y como este mes estamos colaborando con Winnie & Walter, he podido utilizar el set The Big, the Bold and the Happy, que me encanta!
I cut the cloud file out of yellow cardstock too, to make the stars stand out.
