Shaker anniversary card!

*** If you are looking for my giveaway, click here!***

Hi everyone!
Today I have a shaker card for you. One of my hubby's friends asked me for an anniversary card for his wife, and I decided to try a shaker card.
I had so much fun making it:
I used a foam sheet with double sided tape to create the shaker window. It was very easy to make, using dies and the cuttlebug.
I stamped the sentiment over the acetate that covers the window, so it looks like it is floating.
I added some floating hearts over the front of the card, and I covered them with glossy accents.
I used punched hearts and sequins to fill the window, and glued some gems.
Here is a close up of the window:
If you haven't tried to make a shaker yet, you should give it a go!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked it!!!

Some Hero Arts cards

Hi everyone!
I'm sorry the blog didn't get much attention while the Big Week Party, but now that it finished, and finally the hubby is back, life is gonna go back to normal.
Today I have a couple of cards to share with you that I made for the current contest over at Hero Arts. Here is the first one:
The contest is about Clean and Simple cards. I tried to go for a masculine look although I used hearts.
Now, I thought I would share here the cards I made for my post over at A Blog Named Hero. I made them following the sketches for the contest:
Here is the first card:
I followed the bottom left sketch, but just turning it upside down. And for the second card I followed the bottom right sketch:
So if you wanna check the rest of the post and supply list, just go here. And remember that there is a new challenge starting on the 1st of September!
Thanks for stopping by!

Love the new Evergreen bough distress ink!!

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was busy, busy, but I got some crafting done. Here is the card I am sharing with you today:
For this card I used one of the colors from the Winter Limited Edition Pack of Distress inks. I love them all, but that Evergreen Bough is perfect.
So I started by coloring a piece of white cardstock with that ink and a foam applicator. Then I stamp the Flower Dot Pattern over it and I used the ink as watercolor, to color parts of the image. I used Liquid Pearls as accents.
I stamped the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock using black Memento ink and adhered it to the front of the card.
I always use white ribbon that I color with whatever ink I am using. So once it was dry, I made the loops with it and secured it with glossy accents, that I used to glue the button too.
The button is one that I have been hoarding forever. I love it, and as I wanted the card to have more bling, I covered all the crevices on the button with liquid pearls. It made is so shiny!!! Here is a close up:
To finish it, I rounded the bottom corners, and glued it using dimensionals to the front of a pre-made black card base.
I am entering this card into this month Hero Arts challenge, so wish me luck ;)!!!
Hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by!!
