Hi everyone!
It's time for the final challenge at Ellen Hutson, although it's number 2: Inspired by Pinterest. The picture chosen by Chari was gorgeous, and here is my take:
I decided to go with watercoloring, so I stamped the Delicate Blossoms with black StazOn on watercolor paper, and used my distress inks and water to color it. When I finished, I thought it needed a bit of vellum for a softer look, so I covered the entire panel.
I used white StazOn to stamp the background and the sentiment was embossed.
I "loosely" followed one of the sketches from the Hero Arts monthly contest (bottom right):
There's still some time left to enter this challenges, so check them out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend!
Hello!
It's time for another challenge at A Blog Named Hero, and as always is sponsored by the awesome Simon Says Stamp.
The challenge this time is to use only white cardstock, no patterned paper or color cardstock allowed:
I have to say that I thought this challenge would be easier than it turned out to be. But here is my card:
I wanted to try making my own background using die cuts for a long time, and I felt this was the perfect opportunity.
I started by masking the bottom of the card and stamping the Envelope Background using Raspberry Jam. That's one of the new mid-tone inks from Hero Arts, and it's gorgeous!!!!!
I used my Cuttlebug and a die to cut all the shapes, that I then glued to the front of the card.
Stamped the sentiment using the same ink, and added some Glitter Ribbon from May Arts. Love that ribbon! Here is a close up, look how it shines!!
To finish it off, I just added some rhinestones.
So go over to the blog to check the list of supplies for this card and the rest of the cards from the amazing DT girls. And don't forget to play along with the challenge!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I've been neglecting my blog, but I have been ill for the last couple of weeks and my cat had surgery again (another tumor), so no time for crafting or blogging. Boooooo!
Anyway, I should tell Sofie, that I will send your parcel this week, as soon as I can leave the house (I promise!)
I have a card for you today, it's another one of the rejects from the Papercrafts submission call:
I wanted to give the effect of a shadow by stamping with different inks and moving it slightly. I love that effect and it is so easy to achieve using the Stamping Press from Fiskars. Love it!
I embossed the butterfly onto a patterned paper from Studio Calico and the rest of the card is very simple, but if you have any questions, just let me know. I looove the softness of the pool colour on this card.
Now I have some other pictures for you. Last weekend was the last of the Carnival here, and although I was still ill, I decided I couldn't miss it (probably not the smartest idea). Check it out:
What do you think? This year our group of friends chose the theme of Heroes and Villains, and who can resist a good villain? So we went as Cruella and Two Face (in case it wasn't clear)
We had looots of fun and already thinking about next year's costume.
Ok, I hope you liked the card and our costumes, and thank you for stopping by!
