Bokeh Challenge at ABNH...Reto Bokeh en ABNH

Hi everyone!
Today I have a couple of things to share with you because I've been a bad blogger :-(
My MIL is staying with us for a few days, and yesterday we were out celebrating my birthday (yay! I love birthdays). So I've been neglecting the blog, but I'm back!
Let's start with the challenge. It's time for a new challenge at ABNH, and I have to say that it was a difficult one for me. Here is the card:

Do you know what Bokeh is? You have some examples in the blog post at ABNH, but it is a photography effect were spots of light are out of focus.
I have to say that it was very hard to figure out how to do that on a card, and it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, but it was fun :-)
I created a watercolor gradient for the background using Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft pencils and water. On a small piece of white cardstock I stamped the hearts with different colors of ink, doing second generation stamping too. As I wanted them to be softer, I cut a piece of vellum slightly bigger to put over it. Then I die cut the polaroid frame from Hero Arts with my Silhouette and glued them all together at different angles.
The camera clip is from Findingnana and it has to be the cutest embellisment I've ever used. I added a small glitter heart in the center, and stamped the sentiment with brown ink.
Now go check out the blog for more Bokeh examples, and play along, cause you could win a gift certificate for Simon Says Stamp:

And remember that this month we are playing with amazing products from Findingnana and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. If you still don't know them, you should go check them out:

And in case you missed it, I shared some Father's Day cards at ABNH the other day. And I know Father's Day is gone, but you never know when you will be needing a masculine card, so you can see them HERE.
And I leave you with a little sneak peek:

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great start of the week!

  4. First let me just say that I love how your Bokeh hearts turned out! I think it was genius to use the vellum to soften the look of your stamping and the watercolored background adds just the right touch!
Second, I loved your Father's Day card! All the wood and metal - just the thing for a "manly" card!!!
Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!

  6. Uf!
    Besitos!
