Ya esta aquiiii!!! Otro año mas llega el MRDM y no podia hacerme mas ilusion! Seguramente ya habreis oido hablar antes de este reto, y seguro que hasta ya habeis participado, pero si por alguna razon es la primera vez, aqui os cuento un poquito.
It's finally here!!!! The best challenge in the world is here for another year, and I couldn't be happier! For sure by now you know what this challenge is about, but in case you don't, let me tell you a little bit about it.
Este reto consiste en crear un marcapaginas y una tarjeta que despues seran entregados en el hospital Sant Joan de Deu el dia de Sant Jordi. Teneis toooooda la informacion en el blog de 3flowers-retos de tarjetas, donde ademas habra informacion sobre las crops scraperas que se celebraran por toda España. A lo mejor os toca una cerca... asi que animaros porque eso si que es una fiesta :-)
Un año más Andrea organiza este precioso reto, y como siempre con sorpresas que podeis ver en el blog. Si es que esta mujer no para!!!! Pero todo sea por una buena causa, verdad?
Y bueno, aqui esta mi colaboracion inicial al reto, ya que espero hacer muchas mas tarjetas y marcas hasta que termine el plazo:
For this challenge you have to make a card and a bookmark that will be sent to the Sant Joan de Deu hospital. It's all for a good cause and to make you aware of how important it is to be a marrow donor. If you have any questions, I would be happy to help, as all the information at 3flowers-retos de tarjetas is in Spanish. But everybody can participate!

Today we have the last hop using the July card kit from SSS, and this time I wanted to use ALL of the papers from the kit:

Hoy saltamos por ultima vez con el kit de Julio de SSS, y esta vez me propuse utilizar TODOS los papeles que vienen en el kit:
I rarely use the papers that come in the kit, but this time I wanted to use them all, and just add a stamped message. So I cut strips of different widths and lengths from every paper and I made lots of different banners.
I glued them onto a white card base, but just on the right edge, so they fly up on the other edge. This gives the card lots of dimension!
Es muy raro que utilice los papeles que vienen en el kit, pero esta vez queria utilizarlos todos, y solamente tener que añadir un mensaje estampado. Asi que corté un monton de tiras de diferentes tamaños y grosores de cada papel para crear un monton de banderines.
Los fui pegando en una tarjeta blanca, pero solamente en uno de los bordes, asi se levantan por el otro lado. Esto le da mucha dimension!
I added the banner with the embossed sentiment, and then I run the card with a faux stitched die on that edge! Much faster than getting needle and thread ;-) Here is the picture of the full kit one more time:
He añadido un banderin con el mensaje embosado en blanco, y despues he pasado la tarjeta por la Cuttlebug con un troquel de falso cosido en el lateral derecho! Mucho mas rapido que con la aguja y el hilo ;-) Aqui os dejo una ultima vez la foto del kit al completo:

We hadn't been doing the blog hops with SSS card kit for the past few months, but this month we are back! Yes! We bought the kit and we couldn't wait to use it! So here is my card:

Hacie ya un tiempo que no haciamos nuestro salto de blogs con el kit tarjetero de SSS, pero este mes estamos de vuelta! Sii! Nos hemos comprado el kit y estabamos deseando utilizarlo! Asi que aqui va mi tarjeta:
I'll be honest, I didn't have much time to make this card, as I received the kit yesterday and I had to spend the day at the hospital, but I couldn't wait to use that cute kite :-)
The stamp set is really cute with lots of happy faces, but I wanted my kite to not have a face, so I just stamped it on the back of the design paper.
The papers from the kit are beautiful plaids! And the sentiment is from the set of stickers that comes in the kit:
Os voy a ser sincera, y es que no he tenido mucho tiempo para hacer esta tarjeta, ya que recibí el kit ayer y he pasado el día en el hospital, pero no podía esperar a utilizar esa cometa tan mona :-)
El set de sellos es una monada con un monton de caritas sonrientes, pero yo quería que mi cometa no tuviera cara, asi que la estampé por la parte de detras del papel decorado.
Los papeles del kit son preciosos! Ah! Y el mensaje es del set de pegatinas que viene en el kit:

I've been wanting to write this post for weeks, but as you should know by now, things have been very slow around here. In my family, for the last couple of months we're spending more time at the hospital than at home, and although it's not for anything too serious, it still messes up everything else. And at the end, it's the blog that is paying the price. But I'll get to it, as this is going so late ;-)
At this point, (if you follow any Spanish blogs), you would have heard about the MRDM (best challenge in the world) that Andrea, from 3flowers-retos de tarjetas puts together every year. But you can read everything about it HERE:
Llevo semanas con esta entrada pendiente, pero como sabeis a estas alturas, las cosas por aqui han estado bastante paradas. En mi familia llevamos un par de meses que pasamos casi más tiempo en el hospital que en casa, y aunque no todo son cosas graves, al final te altera todo y no hay manera de llevar una rutina normal. Y al final el que paga el pato es mi pobre blog que lo tengo super abandonado. Pero bueno, al lio, que si no me enrollo y esto no sale nunca ;-)
A estas alturas ya la mayoria sabreis que es el MRDM (o el Mejor Reto del Mundo) que organiza la increible Andrea, de 3flowers-retos de tarjetas. Supongo que habreis visto tarjetas y puntos de libros por todas partes para este reto, pero si no es asi, pasaros por AQUI, que ella os lo explica todo perfectamente:
This year is in memoriam of Rosa Bueno, Andrea's really good friend that left us a few months ago. In THIS post, Andrea tells you the story, but I warn you now that you'll probably cry, as she's written it beautifully.
For those of you that still have no clue what I'm talking about, this challenge is about making cards and bookmarks for the Hospital Sant Joan de Deu, to celebrate National Book Day. The bookmarks are for the children that are staying at the hospital, and the cards will be sold in the hospital shop to raise money. Every year the scrap community here has exceded expectations, and it looks like this year it was no different.
And here is my colaboration... the few things I could make between hospital days:
Ademas este año, es en memoria de Rosa Bueno, una muy buena amiga de Andrea que nos dejo hace unos meses. En ESTA entrada, Andrea os cuenta mejor su historia y os aviso que si no la habeis leido aun, os sacará una lagrimilla, porque Andrea ha puesto todo su corazon en esa entrada... y en esta edición del MRDM.
Para las que aún así no teneis ni idea de que estoy hablando, este reto consiste en crear marcapáginas y tarjetas que se entregaran en el Hospital Sant Joan de Deu para celebrar el dia del libro. Los marcapaginas seran para los niños que estan alli ingresados ese dia, y las tarjetas se venderan en la tienda del hospital para recaudar dinero. Asi que no me extraña que esta comunidad scrapera se vuelque para apoyar una causa de este tipo.
Y bueno, aqui esta mi colaboracion... vamos, lo poquito que pude hacer entre dias de hospital:
A couple of cards and a bookmark, all very simple, but I had a great time making them. I still wanted to participate more with the challenge even if I didn't have enough time to make anything new, but I searched through my card stash and this is what I sent:
Unas tarjetas y un marca sencillitos, pero con los que me lo pase pipa, la verdad. Pero queria mandar más tarjetas, ya que total, tengo una montaña esperando que las meta en sobres y se las envie a alguien, asi que esto fue lo que envie:
So another 17 cards and 1 bookmark that are on the way and I hope they help bring a smile to somebody that is not having the best time right now.
And don't worry if you missed it, because I'm sure next year there would be another MRDM as amazing as this one ;-)

I couldn't wait any longer to make a Halloween card, although it's just themed around it. I love Halloween, although here we don't really celebrate it, but it has a spot on my blog every year. Let's go straight to the card:

No podia aguantar más tiempo sin hacer una tarjeta de Halloween, aunque solo sea inspirada en ello. Me encanta Halloween, aunque aqui no se celebre mucho, pero en mi blog tiene un huequito cada año. Os enseño la tarjeta:
Isn't that bat the cutest?! I take him out every year to make at least one cute card ;-) With this card I wanted to participate in the current challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks, that is to get inspired by a picture:
¿No es ese murcielago una autentica monada? Lo tengo que estampar cada año por lo menos en una tarjeta ;-) Con esta tarjeta estoy participando en el reto de esta semana de Paper Smooches Sparks, que nos pide que nos inspiremos en la foto:
The picture called for a fall card, but it inspired me differently. I used the colors to create a watercolor background using distress inks and water. Then, instead of hanging leaves, I used a hanging bat that I colored using Promarkers:
La foto pedía a gritos una tarjeta otoñal, pero me inspiró de manera diferente. Utilicé los colores de la foto para crear un fondo de acuarela utilizando tintas distress y agua. Y en lugar de hojas colgando, he utilizado un murcielago colgando que coloreé con Promarkers:
For the place where the bat was hanging I used a border die from Paper Smooches too, that I cut twice to create that thin border. And I shaped the sentiment, from Paper Smooches too, to follow the curve.
Para darle algo al murcielago donde agarrarse, he utilizado un troquel de borde de Paper Smooches tambien, que troquelé dos veces para crear un borde finito. Y estampé la frase en curva para que siguiera el "borde".
There's a lot of white on the picture, so I cut my panel thinner to give it two white borders. And because the leaves from the picture look like they are made from felt, and that reminds me of sewing, I gave it faux stitch borders using another die from Paper Smooches ;-)
So you can still play along if you feel like it, it was fun!
En la foto del reto hay muchisimo blanco, asi que corté el panel para que fuera más delgado y así darle dos bordes blancos. Y porque las hojas de la foto parece que son de fieltro, y eso me recuerda a coser, pues le dí dos bordes de falso cosido con un troquel de Paper Smooches ;-)
