El ultimo reto... The last challenge

Si... lo sé... voy tarde, muy muy tarde. Pero el peque ha estado enfermo y la verdad es que siendo el ultimo reto de 3flowers-retos de tarjetas no queria hacerlo a todo correr. Queria tomarme mi tiempo y sentarme tranquilamente a escribir esta entrada como es debido.
La verdad es que nos enteramos de que este era el ultimo reto un poquito antes que vosotras, y aunque entiendo perfectamente las razones que tiene Andrea, me da una penita enorme :-( Este blog de retos siempre ha sido especial para mi, ya que antes de descubrirlo, yo pensaba que por estos lugares la tarjeteria no se llevaba. Yo participaba en blogs americanos, con productos americanos y sin tener ni idea que este mundillo existia. Hasta que descubrí a Andrea! La verdad es que ni ella se imagina como cambió mi forma de scrapear, ni la cantidad inmensa de gente maravillosa que he conocido a traves de ella y de este blog. Asi que un millon de gracias Andrea... por ser como eres, por tu apoyo, tu comprension y por tus locuras. Y a mis compis de equipo que son increibles... tambien les debo un gracias inmenso por ser unas compañeras geniales y aunque la mayoria no nos conocemos en persona, unas amigas de lo mejorcito ;-)

Pero bueno, tambien tengo que hablar de este ultimo reto en el que espero que os animeis a acompañarnos, ya que hay que despedir los retos como es debido. Esta vez, Andrea os pide que destroceis una tarjeta, y esto es lo que he hecho yo:

I'm late with this entry, but the baby has been sick for a few days and I wanted to take my time with this post as it's the last challenge at 3flowers-retos de tarjetas. It makes me so sad to say goodbye to this challenge blog and I can't thank enough Andrea and the rest of the team for their support and friendship. I hope you take some time to make a card and play along with the last challenge.

This time, Andreas asks you to break your card, and this is what I made:

Y cuando la hice me anime a grabarlo (por eso he tardado tanto en escribir la entrada, ya que no queria dejar sin editar el video), asi que aqui os dejo el video donde os explico como he hecho la tarjeta:

I decided to film the card as I was making it (that's why it took me so long to share it, as I wanted to edit the video), so here it is and you can see how I made it:

El mejor reto del mundo... The best challenge in the world

Ya esta aquiiii!!! Otro año mas llega el MRDM y no podia hacerme mas ilusion! Seguramente ya habreis oido hablar antes de este reto, y seguro que hasta ya habeis participado, pero si por alguna razon es la primera vez, aqui os cuento un poquito.

It's finally here!!!! The best challenge in the world is here for another year, and I couldn't be happier! For sure by now you know what this challenge is about, but in case you don't, let me tell you a little bit about it.

Este reto consiste en crear un marcapaginas y una tarjeta que despues seran entregados en el hospital Sant Joan de Deu el dia de Sant Jordi. Teneis toooooda la informacion en el blog de 3flowers-retos de tarjetas, donde ademas habra informacion sobre las crops scraperas que se celebraran por toda España. A lo mejor os toca una cerca... asi que animaros porque eso si que es una fiesta :-)
Un año más Andrea organiza este precioso reto, y como siempre con sorpresas que podeis ver en el blog. Si es que esta mujer no para!!!! Pero todo sea por una buena causa, verdad?
Y bueno, aqui esta mi colaboracion inicial al reto, ya que espero hacer muchas mas tarjetas y marcas hasta que termine el plazo:

For this challenge you have to make a card and a bookmark that will be sent to the Sant Joan de Deu hospital. It's all for a good cause and to make you aware of how important it is to be a marrow donor. If you have any questions, I would be happy to help, as all the information at 3flowers-retos de tarjetas is in Spanish. But everybody can participate!

Hoy toca reto... Time for a challenge

Hace unas semanas comenzaba la nueva temporada de retos de 3flowers-retos de tarjetas, y hoy toca reto nuevo. Es un reto algo dificil de explicar... una de las locuras de Andrea que necesito ronda de preguntas y respuestas, jeje... pero estamos acostumbradas ;-) Aqui va mi tarjeta:

A couple of weeks ago, the new challenges started again at 3flowers-retos de tarjetas, and today it's time for another challenge. This one is a bit difficult to explain... another crazy idea from Andrea that needed a round of Q&A... but we are used to it ;-) Here is my card:

El reto consiste en una tarjeta MONOCROMATICA, que ademas tenga obligatoriamente algo BLANCO, NEGRO Y KRAFT, y también tiene que haber un DEGRADADO.

La verdad es que no es tan complicado como suena y seguro que lo vais a disfrutar un monton.

Yo empecé con una cartulina acuarelable y la tinta distress Peacock Feathers. Pegué la cartulina con cinta washi  (creando ese marco blanco) a una tabla para que no se curvara con el agua. Y fuí pintando, con un pincel grande, la tinta y mucha agua, el gradiente que veis.

The challenge is to make a MONOCHROMATIC card, that must have WHITE, BLACK AND KRAFT too, and there has to be a GRADIENT as well.

To tell you the truth is not as complicated as it sounds and I'm sure you'll have a great time participating.

I started with a watercolor cardstock and Peacock Feathers distress ink. I glued it down with washi tape (creating the white frame) so it wouldn't warp with the water. And I started to paint the background with a big brush, water and the ink.

Mi idea no era esta, pero al ver el fondo terminado, me parecia un mar tranquilo, y decidí utilizarlo como tal.

Troquelé el barquito de Kraft y cartulina blanca, varias capas, para darle más dimensión.

Y también troquelé un par de circulos de vellum (papel vegetal) dandole un borde festón para crear "olas".

I had another idea when I started this card, but when I saw that background finished, I thought it looked like a calm sea, and decided to use it as such.

I die cut the boat from Kraft and white cardstock, a few layers, to give it dimension.

And I also die cut the vellum circles, giving them a scalloped edge to mimic "waves".

Para terminar estampé el mensaje y con él tapé los adhesivos dimensionales que utilicé para pegar el vellum.

Y ya está! Sencillita, pero me encanta el resultado final :-)

To finish the card I stamped the message and I used it to cover the dimensional adhesive I used for the vellum.

And that's all! Simple, but I love the final result :-)
