Fall tree

Hi there! Im sorry I havent been blogging a lot this week, but it is crazy around here, I feel like I dont have time for anything this week! Hopefully after sunday I will be able to sit in my craftroom for longer than 5 minutes and make something. Anyway, I'm sharing with you a card I made last week for the Hero Arts Challenge:
All the die cuts I used for this card are from Hero Arts, and I cut them on white cardstock with my silhouette. I colored the tree and the leaves with Distress inks and an ink applicator and covered each leave with glossy accents.
For the background I stamped the magical Background with Antique linen and I used distress inks to color it in a gradient of warm fall colors.
After I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate ink, I glued the tree and leaves to the front panel and glued that to the front of a card. Here is a close up:
Hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by!!

Hero Arts Scramble

Hi everyone! Did you all have a nice weekend? I spent mine wishing to be at scrapfest, so jealous!! But anyway, on Saturday I got to play at the scramble over at the Hero Arts flickr group. It was a lot of fun, so I am sharing with you the card I made.
The challenge was to use texture, and I did that with the embossing of the Envelope Pattern. I inked over the top of the panel with Weathered wood and Pumice Stone and punched the window out of the panel and the front of the card. I stamped the robot on a piece of white cardstock, colored it with Promarkers and cut it. Then I glued it on the inside of the card.
I cut the sentiment using the silhouette and colored it with different colors of distress ink. Glued the sentiment over the front panel and glued it to the front of the card with dimensionals.

The scramble was a lot of fun, and definitely a challenge, as I normally take longer than 90 minutes to make a card, so I will be participating in another scrambles for sure!!

Hope you liked the card, and thanks for stopping by!!

Flower in the window

Hiya! Today I am sharing another window card for the Hero Arts September Challenge.
I cut the card and the front panel using my silhouette, so I had a perfect window. I embossed the Canvas Stripes with clear powder over the front panel, and color over the top with Dusky Rose Promarker. To avoid the embossed area getting colored, I use a rug over it just after coloring it. Then I took white ribbon and colored it with the same marker, and I glued it to the front of the card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Find Joy set with black Memento ink and mounted the front panel on dimensionals.
I stamped the flower on white cardstock with black Memento ink and colored them with Promarkers (on the supplies list). After I hand cut each of the layers of the flower, I covered each layer with Glossy Accents and glued them together with dimensionals. Used some Diamond Stickles in the center, and once it dried, covered it with Glossy Accents too.
Ok, that was the card, but now, I wanted to share a couple of things with you.
First of all, have you checked out this giveaway that Joy is having at her blog? You still have time to comment, and if not, just go and check her blog, she is amazing! Here is a pic of what you can get:
And to finish this long post, have you seen the amazing new limited edition distress inks coming out for fall? You need to get them soon, cause they will be sold out in no time, and those colors are awesome!!!
OK, I think that is all for today, thanks for stopping by!!
