Last Easter Card

Hi everyone!
Today I have a quick post, cause I am not in my house, but I wanted to share my last Easter card.

To make this card, I used the Easter egg Basket from HA as a mask, and I inked the paper using Vintage Photo distress ink. Then I masked the entire image, to stamp over it the cling dots from HA with the same ink.

I covered the eggs with Glossy Accents to give it some shine.
The title was cut with the silhouette, and I glued it onto some vellum. Added some pearls and ready to send.
Very simple card. Hope you liked it and thank you for stopping by!

Happy Easter!

Hi everyone!!
Today I am sharing with you another Easter card.

I have to say that I think I am slightly obsessed with this kind of cards. I looove the grass-sky combo, and it looks cute everytime!
Everything in this card was cut using the silhouette, and every die cut was colored using distress inks.
Anyway, short post today, so I hope you liked the card, and have a great holiday!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Long time...

Hi everyone!
Wow! That was a long time without blogging!! I missed it a lot, but it was a crazy week. Anyway, today I am sharing with you the card I send Aga (check out her gallery, her cards are awesome) for the Easter card exchange. I haven't blogged about it before, because I was waiting for her to get the card, just in case, he he.
I decided to send her a spring card with lots of HA stuff going on. The background was done with the Small solid flower from HA, stamped with versamark, and the flower is a die cut from HA for the Silhouette. I cut the flower three times, and gave each flower a different color to add depth to the design.
The butterflies were cut with the silhouette and I added some pearls to their body.
I used my crop-a-dile to set an eyelet, passed some string through it and then tied it in a bow. The sentiment is from an old set I had from one of my first stamp sets.
I added some stickles to the edges of the flower to give it some shine. Here is a close up.
Hope you liked the card, and if things don't get too crazy around here during the holidays, Ill try to share my Easter cards in the next couple of days.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great Easter!!!!

Easter card and exchange!

Hiya!
Its been a couple of days since I posted last. Been busy making Easter cards for the family, so now I have a lot to share, he he.
Anyway, here is one of the cards I made:

The egg basket is a die cut from HA for the silhouette. I colored it using distress inks and covered the eggs with liquid pearls and used some stickles to decorate the eggs. The sentiment is cut with the silhouette too. In the background, I clear embossed the Magical Background from HA, and then distress with some fired brick ink.

Now, I have something else to share, but this one is not mine. I participated in the HA flickr Easter card exchange. I haven't shared my card yet, cause I think that it is still in the mail somewhere, but I already got my card from Betty. Soooo sweet, I loved it!

You can check her flickr gallery here. She also sent me some goodies that just made my day!!!!

Sooo nice of her!!!! I loved the card exchange, it was the first one I participated in, and it was lots of fun.
Anyway, have a good weekend and I will be back on Monday to share some more Easter cards.
Thanks for stopping by!

Acetate card

Hiya!
Yesterday, I was doing some "fake" shopping on the internet (I can do that for hours), and I came across a tutorial on an acetate card. It has been a very long time since I made one of these, so I decided to take out the acetate and see what happened.
I loooove these cards, because they are different, and altough they dont tend to have a lot of writing space (at least in my case), people love them!
Here is the card:

For this card, I followed one of the sketches for this month's HA contest, at least I tried too, ha.
I just stamped the Large Flower from HA with white StazeOn over the front of the card. I cut some white cardstock with my silhouette for the stamped and inside panels. I stamped the wedding cake and Congratulations stamp from HA and mask the cake so I could colour the background. I used Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade with my ink applicator.
I glued some ribbon aroung the card and then I placed my stamped image.

As you can see, the writing panel is behind the stamp image, and I glued a white piece of cardstock over the back of both pannels, to cover the glue that could be seen through the acetate. I use some diamond stickles over the cake flowers, just to add some shine, as I didnt want to colour the cake.
Hope you liked it, and if you have never tried an acetate card, give it a go!

This time, it wasnt my fault!

Hi everyone!!!
Sorry I have been gone for a week, but I didn't have internet!!! What a nightmare! Anyway, everything should be fixed now and I have a card to share today.

The other day it was one of my friends birthday, so I made this card for her. She likes red, as you can tell, so I used some of my new stamps from Hero Arts (yay ;)) I loooove that flower! I think I am going to use it A LOT!
The flower on the Kraft panel is stamped with Fired Brick distress ink and then I covered it with Glossy Accents.

Apart from the card, I made her a candle with the picture of all of the people that was going to her birthday. It was a bit difficult to find a pic where we were all together, so I had to use one from our wedding.

The one in the middle is the Birthday girl ;)
Hope you liked it, and if I don't have any more internet problems, I will be here again tomorrow!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hi everyone!!
Today I am sharing with you a card I made for Mother's Day. My husband is English, so I made this card for my lovely mother in law. I have to say that I have the best mother in law in the world! She is great!
She loves tea, so a card with that theme was perfect.

The kettle is a die cut for the silhouette that I stamped with a little flower from Hero Arts. Then I embossed the cling dots over it and distressed with fired brick distress ink. I cut the little hearts and the sentiment label with the silhouette too. I covered the hearts with glossy accents to give it some shine.
The die cut has a secret message inside.

Just perfect for her! Hope you liked it!!!

Trying new things!

Hiya!!!
Today I have something a bit different to share. I have had my silhouette for a couple of months now, but I still haven't tried the vinyl or rhinestones or any of the cool stuff you can use with it, apart from paper.
But I decided to try one of the rhinestone patterns on a t-shirt, as a template, and color it with a marker for clothing. Here is the result:
I have loved this design since the first time I saw it, and I am so happy I got to use it. Nothing too fancy (I'll have to try again with different colors ;)).

So I think I will be trying this on more clothes, handbags, paper projects...
Anyway, have a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday as I am going away for the weekend, yay!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
