Another last minute entry!!

****This is my second post of the day, to check my other entry to the Lawnscapings challenge, click here*****

Hiya! I had time to finish the card, so two posts today! Anyway, this card is for the current Lawnscapings challenge:
And I will be entering the Simon Says Stamp Challenge too:
Here is the card:
For this card I started by using distress inks to dye ribbon into the colors that I wanted. I just covered the ribbon with the ink and added some sprayed water for easy blending. Then I let the ribbons dry, or used my heat gun to speed up the process.
I cut a piece of white cardstock for the front of the card, and stamped "smile" from the Fly Free set from Lawn Fawn, with Black Memento ink all over it. I stamped the "happy birthday" from the Year One set from Lawn Fawn, with black StazOn ink over the white ribbon.
Then I glued loops on each ribbon and added buttons, I glued them all down over the front panel, and cut the ends of each ribbon into a "V".
I stamped the Envelope Pattern from Hero Arts over the front of a card base using Weathered Wood distress inks.
Glued the panel to the card, after I rounded one of the corners and added some Glossy Accents to each ribbon, to make sure they stay put.

I had lots of fun making these cards, because I never tend to use ribbon, and today I just couldn't get enough of it! So it was a nice change.

Now it's time to go to bed, thanks for stopping by and I hoped you liked it!!

Lawnscapings Getting Texty!

Hiya! Today I am sharing with you a card I made for the Lawnscapings current challenge:
There is still a couple of hours left to enter, so I decided to participate. I love their challenges! They are so much fun! Anyway, I am making another card for this challenge, but I don't know if I would have time to finish it, so I might be back posting in a couple of hours!!
Here is the card:
I masked off the bottom of a piece of white cardstock, and colored the top with distress inks and an ink applicator. When I was happy with the coloring, I took the Old Letter Writing stamp from Hero Arts, and sprayed it with pearlised water a couple of times. Then I stamped it over the distressed background. I white embossed the cake from Year One on white cardstock, that I colored using Mustard Seed distress ink. I hand cut the cake and glued it to the front of the card with dimensionals. For the ribbon, I took white ribbon and dies it with the distress inks I used for the background and water. Then I use a technique to glue down the ribbon, that I learned from Jennifer McGuire in her amazing Inspiration Showcase class.
I stamped the sentiment with Black Memento ink, and stamped the "happy" all over the front of a card base using the distress inks I used for the background.
Here is a close up of the pearlised water effect:
I am entering this card into the current Simon Says Stamp Challenge too, as it is: "Anything goes".
Now lets see if I have time to finish the other card and link it at the last minute!!
Hope you liked it! And thanks for stopping by!!

Happy, happy, happy!!

Hi everyone!
I hope last week was good for you, cause I had an awesome one. I got a job, and I am starting next week, so I don't have as much time for crafting as I would like (sorry about not blogging so much), because I have to get some things ready.
And one of my cards was selected as one of the Fab Five Winners for the Hero Arts Challenge for September!!!
I couldn't believe it!!! I was screaming, jumping around the house like a crazy person, soooooo happy! So I won a 50$ shopping spree at the Hero Arts Online Store! I had so much fun looking around, but it was so difficult to choose, because my wish list is veeeeery long!
Anyway, cant wait for my new goodies to get here, so I can play with them and make some new cards! So exciting!
Today I'm sharing with you another Halloween card with you! I had a lot of fun making this one:
All the die cuts are from Hero Arts, and I die cut them all from white cardstock and colored them with Distress inks. I covered the sentiment and the spiders with Glossy Accents and added some googly eyes to the spiders. Mounted them on the front of the card with dimensionals and glues the panel to the front of a card base.
Here is a close up:
It was a very quick card and I love using the Hero Arts designs for the silhouette and distress inks, perfect combination!
Make sure you go check out their new designs, those Halloween tags are awesome! And if you don't have a silhouette, get some of their Digikits, they are so versatile! Love them!!

Hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by! Hopefully I will be here again tomorrow!!
